The University ash you as a scientist have to work conform the GDPR requirements in place since march 25, 2018. There is a Univeristy webstack that gives you guidelines when you are dealing with personal data. Fortunately Astronomy does not deal with personal data, but it is wise to consider each aspect of your scientific work and it's relation to GDPR.
